1996 Opening Ceremonies - Martin Luthor King/Olympic Heroes

(12:08am) This includes flying of 100 Dove kites released after the raising of the Olympic Flag. There is also a tribute to Martin Luthor King as well as a shot of Coretta Scott King at the stadium. It's then followed by a tribute honoring Gold Medal Olympic Heroes. Olympians honored include: Dawn Fraser '56, Bob Beamon '68, Mark Spitz '72, Nadia Comaneci '76, Teofilo Stevenson '80, Carl Lewis '84, Greg Louganis '88, Vitaly Scherbo '92, and Leon Stukelj '24 who was the oldest living Olympian at the age of 97.
