tool is a great band but, please!!!, post rock is something different, tools music is a little bit over produced and it sounds so damn perfect. shipping news sounds more natural and real. i love tool though, i don´t think it´s a good comparison. i love both

I see what you're doing, puppet, but your attempt to be cunning has to have a little cun in it--and, bless your veins, I believe I actually put in a relatively good fight--yes, it can be torn down almost as immediate as it was put up, but you're going to have to try sweatier if you're going to get me to form thoughts of care and laughter. You are among my biggest fans--you make me humour these things, not because they are mere and stupid, but because I don't know which direction you're taking.

You're an idiot. And yes it can. It doesn't matter of the genre it falls under (indie in my book does not count)it matters what the groupe sounds of; for instance, Tool has been quoted as "math rock", very poly-rhythmic--but these guys not only sound similar, they play better and more precise. It's not what you fall under, it's what you represent and what your philosophies are. Mos Def can be referenced to Monk (not compared, that's silly) because of the thoughts of be-bop they have had.
