They were going to do more for the video, but as she was singing she started crying and couldn't stop. The director liked it so they kept filming and dropped their other plans. They talked about this video in an interview I read; you can probably find it on her website.

Don't most artists lip sync in their video clips? Because they put mostly the original recording of the song over the top of it... I'm pretty sure?

love this song!! and i think she is crying, because she gets all choked up, plus her makeup is running. i think its a great and meaningful part of the video

I KNOW it's her real voice, thanks for that. Sheesh. And now that I watch it again, I'm not quite so sure about the crying either...

It's lip syncing, and if she sang the song for the soundtrack then it doesn't matter because it's her real voice.... I'm not sure about the crying though...

thats just an effect for the video..she maybe lipsyncing but that really is her voice...
